Different ways to find answers to popular homework questions asked at

Searching for answers

ManyAnswers lets you search for answers to popular homework questions asked at or here at ManyAnswers.  ManyAnswers entries are not intended to give you the answer but rather to guide you to websites and other resources that will help you to find the information for yourself.

There are four different ways to search from the ManyAnswers homepage:

1. Search
Type your search words into the search box (e.g. Ed Hillary, pets, science) and click on the search button. This will bring up all the answers in the ManyAnswers database which include those keywords.

2. Latest / Most Popular Check out what we have added recently or what other students have been searching for. The most popular entries show the most popular entries in the last 14 days.

3. Our Subjects / Your Tags
Click on any search word in the tag cloud to find answers on that topic. These are search words (tags) that librarians have added. ‘Your Tags’ shows search words (tags) that students have added.

4. Hot Topics
Librarians will put together up to five top subjects that they are being asked about at These will change regularly depending on what’s popular (e.g. Easter, Matariki, Olympics). You can either click on a hot topic link from the ManyAnswers homepage, or go to the ‘Hot Topics’ tag where you can browse both current and previous answers.
