How long is a bellbird's life span?

This answer was a bit tricky to find. We checked our favourite sites which have info on New Zealand birds, Department of Conservation (Native animals index) Te Ara Encyclopedia of New Zealand (Small forest birds) and the Kiwi Conservation Club (Animal factsheets), but none of them had the answer to this specific question.

Next we tried a Google NZ search using the key words bellbird + lifespan. This search brings up the only page which suggests an answer. It is the official website of the supporters of Tiritiri Matangi Island who have undertaken a conservation project to protect endangered and native birds.
