How can I be prepared for a disaster?

The Civil Defence site is a good place to visit. Check out their link to resources on the left-handside of the page. Choose the section on Being prepared at home, at school, at work. This links to the Get Ready, Get Thru campaign info (you may have seen these ads on TV). There's also a link to the What's the Plan Stan? page which has resources for school children.

Most of the city councils will have information on their websites too, so check out your local council webpage. For example click here to link to the Wellington Emergency Management Office information.
