Where can I find information about Greece?
Greece is a country in South-East Europe and the location of one of the world's earliest civilisations.
To start your search for information about Greece we would suggest using one of the popular search engines, KidsClick, which is specifically aimed at children.
Using the A-Z search option you will find there are entries for both ancient and modern Greece. Selecting 'modern Greece' will give you several websites and between them you will find a variety of reliable information.
One of these websites is called CIA Fact Book, which gives a comprehensive look at facts Greece. Using this link will take you straight to the entry for Greece; scroll down the page and choose from the subject headings listed. This site is by the United States government, so should have good information that we can trust.
You could also try the link to Academic Kids which takes a look at such topics as history, economy and culture and presents them in a readable style. Once again the link will take you straight to the page.
In addition have a look at Britannica School, which is one of the EPIC databases. EPIC is a collection of reliable databases covering lots of different topics. It’s put together especially for New Zealand school students and helps to answer questions like this.
