Where can I find information about the equestrian Mark Todd?

Mark Todd is an internationally-renowned New Zealand horseman who specialises in eventing, which is a competition held over three days. He has won Olympic medals, received a knighthood in 2013 for services to equestrian sport and was voted Event Rider of the 20th Century by the International Equestrian Federation in 2000. 

A great place to start is Mark Todd's own website Mark Todd EventingClick on the tab About Mark to read his biography. You could also check the New Zealand Olympic site. Look under 'Athletes' and then put your keywords 'Mark Todd' in the search bar to find Mark Todd's page.

If you want detail about his placings in the events and the horses he rode, then official sports websites are a good place to start. These sort of websites collect and organise records of competitions. We recommend The British Eventing website for detailed information on the equestrian competitions Mark Todd has competed in.  Just put Mark Todd into the search box on the front page.

Try searching for 'sir mark todd' (adding 'sir' will help make sure you find the right Mark Todd). This will bring up lots of articles with information and quotes from Mark Todd.

A fantastic place to find a huge amount of information about Mark Todd, including evocative newspaper accounts written at the time of his victories, try EPIC. It's a collection of reliable databases covering lots of different topics, put together especially for New Zealand school students.
