I need information about the decline of the tuatara population

The Kiwi Conservation Club site has great factsheets about New Zealand animals and birds.  To find the one on tuatara:

  1. Click on Wildlife and wild places
  2. Click on Wildlife
  3. Click on Reptiles and amphibians
  4. Click on Tuatara

If you are looking for more information check out The Department of Conservation site.  To find tuatara:

  1. Click on Conservation
  2. Click on Native animals
  3. Click on Reptiles & frogs
  4. Click on Tuatara

You might also like to explore Te Ara - the encyclopedia of New Zealand.   You can Browse the encyclopedia using the browse boxes in the middle of the front page. 

  1. Start in the box in the middle and click on browse.
  2. Click on Topics.
  3. Next select from the second box Reptiles and amphibians.
  4. From the third box scroll down and select Tuatara.
  5. This will bring the results for Tuatara  into the final box in the Browse area. 
  6. Click on Tuatara from the final box and this will take you to all the information about them from within Te Ara.
